I'm not getting deposits and it has been several days

Here's a list to troubleshoot not receiving a deposit. If you are not receiving your daily deposit or occasionally you go days without a deposit one of these may be the culprit:

  • The batch must be closed on each PAX device to receive a deposit.
    • The default setup for PAX devices is to auto batch every night around 2-3am. Check with LinkPOS or your credit card processor to make sure this is set. AutoBatch - LinkPOS FAQ
    • Each device has its own deposit.
  • Close the batch. PAX Close Batch - LinkPOS FAQ
  • Leave the device powered on overnight.
    • The device must be ON in order to close the batch. If you power off the device each night it will delay the batch until the next night.
  • Keep the BroadPOS app running in the background.
    • The BroadPOS app is the app for your bank. It usually says Vantiv or TSYS or Sierra. Touch this app to open it and then touch the square button to switch back to the LinkPOS app. You can leave the BroadPOS app running in the background.
  • The PAX is not connected to the internet
    • Make sure the PAX is connected to the wifi and the wifi is connected to your internet provider. If the device cannot reach the credit card processor's servers it won't be able to close the batch.
