Gift card settings

Prerequisites

You must have a gift card provider before you can use gift cards with LinkPOS. LinkPOS can be your gift card provider but other options are available and LinkPOS must configure your provider before you can use the settings described here. Once you have a gift card provider these are the settings you can set on the LinkPOS app on each iPad to determine what gift card options are available to the cashiers.

Enable the gift card provider

1. Log out of the LinkPOS app and touch the cogwheel to get to the manager pages.

2. Touch the Settings button

3. Touch the gift card tab on the top. Enable gift cards by toggling the Use Gift Cards button at the top. Then select LinkPOS from the list of providers. If LinkPOS has instructed you to use another provider then select the appropriate provider.

4. Then touch Done and Done to get back to the LinkPOS login page

Show the Gift Card Balance button

Log in to the LinkPOS app and select the settings button in the upper left corner

Turn the Gift Card Balance button toggle to on and touch Done. Now the Gift Card Balance button is available on the bottom button bar.
