Closing a merchant account

If you are processing credit cards with First American Processing Systems (FAPS) and need to close a merchant account here are the steps to follow:

A written close letter must be submitted that contains the following:

1. DBA
2. Merchant id # or location #
3. reason for closing
4. close date in the form mm/dd/yyyy
5. dated and signed in pen.

You can print out and sign the letter and then scan it and email it to isvmerchantsupport@first-american.net
